Join Us
We are them,
We come to lead you away.
Escape your family, leave the school.
Join us.
We see,
The dust in the window sills, in the crevices.
We see the fake flowers in front of your door,
The lies your parents tell after fighting.
We see the light in your room,
The night sitting on your bed with no bedtime stories.
We see you sitting in the corner of the classroom,
No friends, no companions.
We see you being abandoned, being left alone.
We see your confusion, your struggles.
We say,
Join us, walk out the door.
Here, no one forces you to believe,
Everything in this world is beautiful.
You, us, them, smile.
Let the world feel goodness,
Goodness comes from separation,
Separation heals pain, brings freedom.
We come to your side.
We know you've seen us.
We are not them.
You will see, on street billboards,
On bathroom door advertisements,
On paper strips in your bookshelf.
Feel our power,
Listen to your desires.
Break down, then rebuild.
Create, you, their world.
