Kite

From Bless You, Three Worlds by Dai Pan (潘岱). Poem 03.

A shadow hides into the city light,
No longer finding him in the night.
Footprints across the waiting face,
Passing distances,
Across boundaries, to your space.

Your gentle touch arrives on him,
Turned aside with a thoughtful whim,
And, in my gaze, catch the eyes,
Which feels so grim.

Paintings and pens lie by my head,
Truth wanders into dream paths ahead.
Soft whispers from the confidants I've left,
All transformed to your form, as he said.

Your figure shows then fade,
During the night.
Lovely, and still,
I've blowed in the wind,
Like a copy-paste piece in peace.

Bless You 03

Kite

A shadow hides into the city light,
No longer finding him in the night.
Footprints across the waiting face,
Passing distances,
Across boundaries, to your space.

Your gentle touch arrives on him,
Turned aside with a thoughtful whim,
And, in my gaze, catch the eyes,
Which feels so grim.

Paintings and pens lie by my head,
Truth wanders into dream paths ahead.
Soft whispers from the confidants I've left,
All transformed to your form, // as he said.

Your figure shows then fade,
During the night.
Lovely, and still,
I've blowed in the wind,
Like a copy-paste piece in peace.
